Amends of Men – A Poem

IMG_2563A face we wore to help forget,
the sins we hold,
we too regret.

To hide our hands,
full heavy gold.

To mountains clamber,
too, friends we’ve sold.

A mask we filled with false amend,
for sins untold,
the sins of men.

The Priest – A Poem

IMG_2053A language lost,
our souls do keep.
The guiding hand
of man too bleak.

One does ponder,
a thought divine.
To write them down
and calm our mind.

A common script,
to not forget.
A fact of fiction
our lives to bet.

Socially Just – A Poem

Fear the future the white-coats have said.
For the future is near,
And our future is dead.IMG_00000392

Trust in science the suits beseech.
Yet science is flawed,
Its outcome is bleak.

We will prevail the people do cry,
Prevail over what?
For our dawn is but nigh.

When We Find It – A Poem

IMG_1359Blissful ends
from frightful fables,

Lovers collide, amidst the loss.

Serene sights
of birthing bedlam,

A friend, found the owner of foes.

Emotions entangled
their twisted twins,

A lie, brought to us at our low.

The Prophets of One – A Poem

IMG_2702Years upon years,
The wiser would say.
Yet who was the wiser?
For I stand here this day.

On the graves of the greater,
The tombs of the told.
Was it I whom the wiser?
I say not for years old.

For thought is but thorough,
Nor times before dead.
Wisdom is wording,
How the heart meets the head.

We are All Soldiers – A Poem

IMG_1339Hear the heart beat drums of war.
Notes to end,
Our lives too poor.

Head the heavy masts ahead.
Stab the sunrise,
Less be dead.

Litter the lines with more than men.
Hold your breath,
Don’t count to ten.

Sail the stars as fears take flight.
There will be none,
no lovers tonight.

Seed our sorrows in ruins of some.
Their hearts are gone,
The war is won.

For Another Year – A Poem

Thoughts of many,IMG_2968
Thoughts of few.
Dream of future,
Dream come true.

Chasing ghosts
To come too soon.
Chasing dreams,
To lose a few.

Evade the ghosts,
Evade the new.
Find a future,
Found for you.

Search a place,
Not alone.
Search for space,
Call my home.

Restless – A Poem

Dressed in dreams,IMG_2505
We do not sleep.
Our minds are lost,
Not ours to keep.

Stars are strangers,
Taught to weep.
Our future lost,
Twas ours too steep?

Friends or follies,
At a low.
A frugal bounty,
A heart to stow.

Friends or follies,
A common foe.
The fickle bounty,
We won’t let go.

To a New Year – A Poem

IMG_2915Charge,
Into the void again, we will go.
Alive we rear,
but the dead they do not know.

Voices ring,
We sing this song.
They forget,
Not knowing, unable to sing along.

It is ours,
Grasp the void, embrace the go.
Alive we forget,
How they did once glow.
